The Allen/Oakwood Correctional Institution (AOCI) Fence Replacement project enhanced the secure perimeter at the Oakwood Correctional Facility (OCF). The new fence is placed outside of the previously existing outer fence and includes replacement of the current perimeter light system. The Community Based Correctional Facility (CBCF) project in Lucas County entailed the renovation, repair, and addition to the Correctional Treatment Facility. This project brought the two populations into one location by adding a new wing, providing approximately 60 beds for females, and renovating the existing building at the Toledo Correctional Camp. Existing areas were renovated to improve space utilization for programming, health care, visiting, maintenance, and administration, ensuring that the facility has the needed amount of space for its operations. This project also included the construction of a training center to be utilized by the county staff as well as providing an additional facility for the staff of Toledo Correctional Institution. The training center will also be used for programming and provided a large meeting space. The training facility is approximately 5,000 SF of floor area with two large rooms that can be converted to one room via a sliding partition.
